Hotel Fazenda Salto Grande

In 1850, when Araraquara was only 32 years old, the coffee farm Salto Grande, nowadays the Hotel Fazenda Salto Grande, was built with an area of around 500 thousand squared meters. For more than a hundred years the farm has grown coffee, rice, orange and raised cattle.The Hotel Fazenda Salto Grande is part of the history and the economy of Araraquara. In 1940 it was bought by the Lupo family, renowned worldwide for the manufacturing of socks and sportswear. The family resided and preserved the local until 1992, when the hotel was founded. The 50 meters high waterfall that exists on the farm gave its name Salto Grande, Great Fall The coffee processing machinery, the big coffee house and coffee drying fields are part of the history of the hotel and are available for visitation to all guests.
