However this purpose-built hotel only opened in 1997. Large, spacious public areas high ceilings, earthy colour decor, open fires and the use of wood create a unique atmosphere. Newly Re-opened The Hotel was reopened in September 2011 under the ownership of Damien & Brenda O’Grady.
